Derbyshire will travel to Lancashire to face the newly-promoted Division One side in a two-day friendly at Chester Boughton Hall, starting on Monday 27 July.
The behind closed doors fixture is the first friendly to be confirmed by Derbyshire and it will take place in the final week of pre-season, following ECB confirmation that the domestic season will commence from Saturday 1 August.
The Derbyshire squad began one-to-one training at Repton School earlier this week and will move through scheduled phases towards group training and match preparation.
