BRM Chesterfield Festival of Cricket

2814

The BRM Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, in association with Chesterfield Borough Council, returns to Queen’s Park between Friday 19 and Sunday 28 June.

The picturesque ground will again play host to traditional County Championship cricket, as well as vibrant Vitality Blast action at the height of summer.

Two of the finest red ball bowlers on the planet, Mohammad Abbas and Sir James Anderson, with more than 2,000 first-class wickets between them, will face off in one of the most anticipated games of the summer schedule, as Derbyshire face Lancashire in the Rothesay County Championship from Friday 19 June.

Both Derbyshire Falcons Men’s and Women’s sides will be in action, with Jon Dyson’s side taking on Gloucestershire on Saturday 27 June, before the now traditional Men’s T20 fixture against Yorkshire on Sunday 28 June.

Four-Day Bundles, which include the full Lancashire fixture, are also available for just £35.

Tickets are selling fast for the Derbyshire Falcons Men vs Yorkshire T20 at Queen’s Park on Sunday 28 June, after a record Priority Window.

The Falcons are aiming for a ninth-consecutive win over Yorkshire at Chesterfield, with the previous seven fixtures played in front of a sold-out crowd in Chesterfield, as they target a place in the Vitality Blast knockout stages.

Last summer, Nye Donald blitzed the joint-fastest half-century in Vitality Blast history (13 balls) to defeat the White Rose, and the newly named Falcons skipper will be hoping to lead his side to victory again this summer.
