Steve Kirby has been impressed by the Derbyshire bowlers in their first full week back in training and is excited about the prospects of a condensed season later this summer.
The Assistant Coach (Bowling Lead), has been joined by Twenty20 Head Coach, Dominic Cork, as the pair assess the bowlers on their return to training and gradually build their workloads throughout the week.
The seamers will have to get used to shining the ball in a different way this summer, but Kirby believes the preparation the club is currently undertaking will leave them in a good position come the 1 August start date.
