Dawid Malan (219) was positive in his scoring on the third morning, helping Yorkshire to declare on 400-6 before lunch, with Jonny Tattersall (66) also passing 50 for the hosts.
Godleman’s innings went a long way to putting Derbyshire within three runs of avoiding a final-day follow-on, with Matt Critchley (31*) and Anuj Dal (15*) to resume on Day Four, with the visitors 198-6.
