Derbyshire’s Nick Potts claimed three wickets for the Young Lions North side in the three-day Best vs Best fixture at Loughborough.
While the South side claimed a three-wicket victory, Potts impressed with figures of 2-33 in the first innings, including a beauty to bowl captain Fletcha Middleton (4).
The Academy prospect also took the first wicket of the second innings and finished with 1-37 from his ten overs, as Middleton struck a half-century to guide his team to victory.
Potts will now prepare for two white-ball Best vs Best fixrures at Loughborough, which begin on Saturday 26 September, as the promising quick once again pits himself against some of England’s finest developing players.
Derbyshire’s Head of Talent Pathway, Daryn Smit, has also been involved, with the former wicketkeeper-batsman taking charge of the Young Lions North team and using the environment to develop his own coaching skills.
