Godleman (50) and du Plooy (98) got the ball rolling for the hosts on their return to The Incora™ County Ground, putting together a century partnership for the second wicket.
Critchley passed for the third-consecutive innings, before going on to reach a scintillating century, while Hosein ended the day unbeaten on 65, with Derbyshire 360-8.
