Cork previews Worcestershire Rapids fixture

Twenty20 Head Coach, Dominic Cork, looking ahead to the Falcons’ Vitality Blast fixture against Worcestershire Rapids, which takes place at The Incora County Ground on Friday night.

When they take to the field on Friday, it will have been in week since the side were in action, with plenty of time to recover and reflect on the dramatic tie with Notts Outlaws in Derby.

Cork says wins in all four of Derbyshire’s remaining group games will be needed if they are to reach the quarter-finals, but he believes there is the ability in the side, if they apply the learnings from previous fixtures.

“We’ve got to try to win all four,” he said.

“Let’s be honest, maybe three but realistically we need to win the last four, starting this Friday against Worcestershire. It’s something we know we can do, if we can just get a little bit of momentum and some confidence.”
