Sam Conners has suffered a hip tendon tear, which will keep him out for a minimum of six weeks.
The young quick has been a mainstay in the LV= County Championship bowling attack, but injury has prevented him from featuring in the Vitality Blast so far. He will be ruled out of the remainder of the T20 group stage, as well as the start of the Royal London Cup.
Wayne Madsen’s hamstring tear will see him miss around 12 weeks of action, after the injury was assessed by a specialist. The batsman sustained the injury in the opening Vitality Blast fixture against Lancashire Lightning, while Alex Hughes (side strain) will be out for at least another four weeks.
Bowlers Dustin Melton (heel), Nick Potts (ankle) and Ben Aitchison (rib) all remained sidelined, while all-rounder Nils Priestley (shoulder) is also out.
