Derbyshire’s group for next phase of LV= County Championship decided

Derbyshire will face Kent, Middlesex, Leicestershire and Sussex in the second phase of the LV= County Championship, with Worcestershire also following them out of group one.

The new division is made up of the sides who finished fifth and sixth in their respective groups and after a difficult red ball campaign so far, Derbyshire will enter Division Three aiming to turn around their form and finish the season strongly.

Dave Houghton’s side will play four more first-class games in 2021, all against the teams they are yet to contest in red ball action this season. Instead of facing Worcestershire again, each side will take half of the points picked up against each other into the new division, meaning Derbyshire will start on 9.5 points.

News on the new fixtures will be posted on the Club’s official channels, once they are released by the ECB.
