Leus du Plooy has been selected by Welsh Fire in The Hundred Wildcard draft.
The Derbyshire batsman has been in good form throughout the Vitality Blast so far, scoring 346 runs at an average of 43.25, including three half-centuries. Having initially been drafted by Welsh Fire in 2020, Leus du Plooy returns to the squad as their Wildcard pick
The 26-year-old will join up with Matt Critchley with Welsh Fire, while Luis Reece has been retained by London Spirit.
The Hundred begins on Thursday 22 July, when Manchester Originals travel to face Oval Invincibles. Critchley and du Plooy could first be in action on Saturday 24 July against Northern Superchargers at Emerald Headingley.
