Fynn Hudson-Prentice hopes Derbyshire can make the most of having five of their remaining six Royal London Cup games at home.
The all-rounder struck 93 and claimed two wickets in the defeat to Somerset, leaving Derbyshire still chasing their first win as they return to The Incora County Ground to host Warwickshire on Tuesday.
That begins a run which will see the side play five of their remaining six 50-over games on home soil, with four matches in Derby, including the visits of Nottinghamshire, Glamorgan and Surrey, and a fixture against Yorkshire Vikings at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield, on Sunday 8 August.
Tickets are available for all home games, and Hudson-Prentice wants to make the most of home advantage to turn their form around and make a push for the latter-stages.
“We go again on Tuesday,” he told BBC Radio Derby.
“We’re playing against a couple of teams who don’t normally travel to Derbyshire, there’s some teams from the south who might not know the dimensions or how to play us.
“Hopefully, we can use that to our advantage, it’s been a tough season so far but we’ll try to make the most of these final six games and push for a place in the knockouts.”
