John ‘JD’ Brown funeral details confirmed

The funeral of long-serving Derbyshire employee and volunteer, John ‘JD’ Brown, will take place at St Andrews Church, Langley Mill, on Tuesday 23 November. 

Universally known as ‘JD’, John undertook an assortment of coaching roles within the club between 1971 and 2001 although his principal position was that of Youth Development Coach.

Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to do so on Tuesday 23 November at St Andrews Church, Langley Mill (10.30am), NG16 4BP. All are welcome to wear colours, cricket blazers and ties.

John’s family to set up The John Brown Cricket Scholarship in honour of John’s life and work within cricket, which you can donate to. Funds raised will be used to help young players of the future by providing opportunities to progress and could take many forms equipment, coaching
