Could England settle South Africa series at Derby?

A stunning century from Emma Lamb helped England to take the lead in their multi-format series against South Africa, with the final T20 set to take place at The Incora County Ground on Monday 25 July.

The opening game of the series, a Test match at Taunton, was drawn, despite an unbeaten 169 from Nat Sciver and 107 from Alice Davidson-Richards, while experienced seamer, Kate Cross, took 4-63 in the first innings.

Heather Knight’s side took the lead with victory in the first ODI, with Lamb’s 102  helping England to chase down 219 inside 33 overs, after Sciver earlier claimed 4-59 with the ball.

Who will step up for the hosts at The Incora County Ground this year? Recently both Sarah Glenn and Heather Knight having played starring roles, with the former being named Player of the Series in 2020, while the skipper made a match-winning century in an ODI against New Zealand last year.

England haven’t lost at Derby since 2017, with wins over New Zealand and West Indies coming in that time, and they’ll be aiming to add both South Africa and India to that list in 2022.

Tickets are on sale now for both T20s –  with good crowds once again expected at The Incora County Ground!
