Masood called up to Pakistan ODI squad

Derbyshire’s Shan Masood has been named in the Pakistan squad for their upcoming One-Day International series against the Netherlands in August.

Masood, who scored has more than 1,500 runs across all formats this season and has twice been named PCA Player of the Month, was with Pakistan throughout their recent tour of Sri Lanka, although he did not feature in the Test series.

The top order batter is unable to return from Pakistan in time for the Royal London Cup opener against Glamorgan, however will be available for the away games against Essex and Lancashire, before departing for Rotterdam.

The series begins on Tuesday 16 August, with fixtures also scheduled for Thursday 18 and Sunday 21 August, with Masood, who has a career List A average of 57.46, aiming to add to his five ODI appearances so far.

Masood will return to Derbyshire upon the conclusion of the series.
