Derbyshire Members and supporters are invited to a President’s Lunch event, with Club President John Wright MBE, on Friday 12 August.
The stylish opening batter scored a total of 10,638 first-class runs and 4,331 List A runs, including 31 centuries and a top-score of 190, and is widely regarded as one of Derbyshire’s all-time greats.
An experienced coach at domestic and international level, Wright became Derbyshire’s Specialist Twenty20 Coach in 2017 and led the side to their first Vitality Blast quarter-final in more than a decade.
The lunch event will take place during the interval of Derbyshire’s Royal London Cup match versus Hampshire on Friday 12 August at The Incora County Ground.
Tickets for the President’s Lunch, which include a two-course deluxe buffet, as well as entry to the Marquee to hear from Wright, are priced at £30 and can be booked by emailing [email protected]. The deadline for booking is 5pm on Monday 1 August.
Members do not need to purchase a ticket for entry to the fixture only.
