Family Day double-header

On Bank Holiday Monday 29 May The Incora County Ground will play host to two huge T20 fixtures, as part of Derbyshire’s 2023 Family Day.

After an unbeaten start to their Charlotte Edwards Cup, The Blaze, with England stars Sarah Glenn and Nat Sciver-Brunt, take on Danni Wyatt’s Southern Vipers, starting at 11am, before Mickey Arthur’s Derbyshire Falcons face Northants Steelbacks from 3pm.

Activities and signing session

The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation will be running a host of fun activities for the whole family, such as cricket darts, a bouncy castle and a speed cage, to test whether your bowling is closer to Brett Lee or Darren Stevens!

Plus, Derbyshire Falcons players will be available after the match to sign autographs and take photos with supporters, meaning you can meet the likes of Haider Ali, Wayne Madsen and more this Bank Holiday!

All tickets purchased for either match will cover both fixtures, and reserved seating is available in the Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Stand, meaning you can be sure of watching the action with your family and friends.

An award-winning experience

Derbyshire was named as the best domestic spectator experience in 2022, and 2023 promises to be even better, with an enhanced food and drink range, including wood fired pizza, authentic Indian cuisine and bespoke doughnuts from Project D, while an added emphasis on accessibility, with new wheelchair bays, improved toilet facilities and the appointment of a Disability Liaison Officer, means this season will be the most inclusive ever.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club and the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation have been working closely to ensure the game is accessible to all, whether it be through offering tickets to NHS staff and carers through the Blue Light Card, to inviting local clubs across the recreational game, Family Day will see those from all backgrounds enjoy an action-packed day of cricket.

Vitality Blast 2023: Be Bold, Be Derbyshire

In 2023, every Derbyshire Falcons home T20 will be played on a Friday night, weekend or Bank Holiday, meaning it’s never been easier to follow the Falcons in the Vitality Blast.

2022 saw a Club-record number of T20 wins, coupled with the Best Domestic Spectator Experience to make the Falcons Vitality Blast campaign one of the best ever, and this year’s promises to be even bigger, with an enhanced food and drink range and added emphasis on accessibility.

Tickets are selling fast, with the clash with Yorkshire Vikings at Queen’s Park, the East Midlands Derby vs Notts Outlaws and the Monday 29 May Family Day gaining high interest from supporters, so don’t delay if you want to experience Mickey Arthur’s Falcons live this summer!
