Arthur expects exciting game at Queen’s Park

Mickey Arthur believes Sunday’s T20 fixture against Yorkshire Vikings at Queen’s Park will be a great advert for the hotly-contetsted north group, with an exciting game in prospect.

Tense finishes are nothing new at Chesterfield, with a number of final-over victories for the Falcons against Yorkshire Vikings in recent years, but this encounter could be even tighter, with the difference between second and eighth place in the north group just four points, a gap which could be eclipsed by the end of the week.

With a limited number of tickets remaining for the game, Arthur is looking forward to being with the passionate Queen’s Park crowd once again, and is expecting a good game on Sunday.

“On our day, we can beat anybody,” he said.

“We’ve just got to get out there and play our best game, do that and we’re good enough. So we’ve got to keep reiterating our skills, stamp out the bad things and stick to our disciplines well and the results will take care of themselves.

“I think the north group is so evenly contested, I don’t think there’s an easy game in our group, the teams are very evenly matched so anybody on any day can beat anybody.”
