Brown arrives on loan

Derbyshire have signed fast bowler, Pat Brown, on loan from Worcestershire for the rest of the season.

Brown, 25, has agreed to join Derbyshire permanently on a three-year contract from the end of this season and will get the opportunity to meet his new teammates during the latest round of first-class games.

Capped four times by England, Brown is primarily known for his white ball exploits, but it will be in the red ball arena where he could make his Derbyshire debut.

Head of Cricket, Mickey Arthur, said: “We needed some cover for our bowling attack and this gives us a chance to see Pat in action and get a look at what he can bring to our group.

“He’s an experienced bowler and someone who has played at the highest level, so we’re looking forward to seeing what Pat can do for us this month.”
