Derbyshire County Cricket Club picked up three trophies at the 2023 ECB Business of Cricket Awards, recognising the Club’s strong off-field progress throughout the last 12 months.
Derbyshire and Warwickshire were joint-winners of the first award of the night, claiming the Tickets or Membership Sales and Marketing Campaign of the Year for the collaborative creation and delivery of the inaugural Blast Off event, which saw the 2023 Vitality Blast begin with a huge double-header at Edgbaston.
Derbyshire also won the Customer Retention Initiative Award, for the campaign around the sold-out Yorkshire Vikings T20 fixture at Queen’s Park, and Best Development of a New Facility (under £500,000), for the installation of a new toilet block and Changing Places Facility at The Incora County Ground.
Head of Marketing and Communications, Tom Skinner, said: “These three awards are a testament to the hard work of our entire off-field team. Our aim is to continually improve the experience we offer supporters, whether that be breaking new ground with Blast Off, growing fan loyalty, or making The Incora County Ground an even more inclusive venue.
“Our attention is now on next season and, alongside an exciting squad of players, there are many reasons to look forward to the return of cricket at Derbyshire in 2024.”
