Pre-Match Pack: Notts Outlaws (A)

Derbyshire Falcons have named a 15-player squad for their Vitality Blast fixture against Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge, which takes place on Friday (6.30pm).

The Falcons will be looking to complete the double over their East Midlands rivals, after a dominating win at The County Ground earlier this month, and build some momentum heading into the competition’s break for two red-ball fixtures.

Pat Brown has picked up 13 wickets in the Vitality Blast so far, the joint-second-most of any bowler, and he will be key if the Falcons are to make it four wins out of eight.

Mitch Wagstaff misses out due to a minor concussion, after being struck on the head during the Second XI Championship fixture against Gloucestershire earlier this week. He will be monitored by the Club’s Medical Team.

Derbyshire Squad:

21. Samit Patel (c)
04. Harry Came
10. Luis Reece
08. Daryn Dupavillon

The Opposition

Notts Outlaws have endured a testing start to their Vitality Blast campaign, winning just once and picking up three points so far.

Big-hitting batter, Alex Hales, will play his final game of the group stage for the Outlaws on Friday night, before flying out to Sri Lanka to take part in the upcoming Lanka Premier League.

Pre-Match Talk

Falcons fast bowler, Daryn Dupavillon, is looking forward to another exciting encounter against Notts Outlaws tomorrow.

Dupavillon has made an impact with the ball since his inclusion in the side, taking wickets in the powerplay with devastating yorkers.

He calls on the side to back up their good work with more consistency, as the Falcons aim to finish the current white ball block with a win.
