England Women earned a 2-1 One-Day International series win over Ireland, with Tammy Beaumont playing a starring role.
Beaumont, who was a part of The Blaze side which lifted the 2024 Charlotte Edwards Cup at The County Ground in June, scored 212 runs in three innings, including a record-breaking 150 in the second ODI, to become the first England Women’s player to score ten List A centuries.
Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway graduate, Bess Heath, claimed four dismissals behind the stumps in the series, with three catches and one stumping, while alsp producing a match-winning half-century partnership with captain Kate Cross in the opening game.
England will now face Ireland in two T20 fixtures, on Saturday and Sunday, as they gear up for next month’s T20 World Cup. They will return to Derby for the first 50-over action of 2025, when they take on West Indies on Friday 30 May, during the half-term break.
