Derbyshire fast bowlers, Pat Brown and Harry Moore, have been named in the England Lions squad for the upcoming training camp and four-day fixture against South Africa A.
Brown, 26, has four England IT20 appearances to his name, making his international debut in 2019, and was Derbyshire’s leading wicket-taker in the 2024 Vitality Blast, with 22 wickets at an average of 18.18.
Moore, 17, made ten first team appearances in 2024, claiming 16 wickets across first-class and List A cricket, while also providing crucial lower-order runs in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup win over Somerset in August.
The Pathway graduate, who signed a new three-year deal with Derbyshire in September, made his England Under 19s debut earlier this summer.
The training camp will see the Derbyshire bowlers work under new England Lions Head Coach, Andrew Flintoff, and it will run from Wednesday 20 November to Saturday 14 December.
Flintoff said: “We’re delighted to have such a high-potential group of players heading to South Africa. In selecting these players, we have a mix of well-established performers who’ve been in the England setup and excelled in the domestic game, through to some of the most exciting young talent coming through.
“The camp will support and accelerate the players’ development, provide insight into various aspects of the international setup and aid their transition into future performance setups.”
