As we gear up for the 2025 Vitality Blast, we take a weekly look at an iconic Friday Night Falcons T20 moment at The County Ground. This week, we head back to 2017 and some Imran Tahir magic against Worcestershire Rapids. 

Defending 146-8 and knowing victory was crucial to securing a place in the quarter-finals, Tahir delighted the The County Ground crowd with expert spin bowling and wild celebrations alike, as he claimed 4-17 as the Rapids were bowled out for just 98.

Mickey Arthur’s Falcons will host Notts Outlaws in the East Midlands Derby on Friday 6 June at The County Ground, as part of a double-header with The Blaze also taking on Essex earlier in the day.

The second Friday Night Falcons fixture of the summer takes place on Friday 20 June, as Lancashire Lightning come to Derby, before we finish our North Group schedule against Birmingham Bears on Friday 18 June, with Derbyshire Falcons Women also facing Northamptonshire as part of a second double-header.
