Derbyshire have named a 13-player squad for the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Middlesex at The County Ground, starting tomorrow (11am).
Wayne Madsen comes into the game just 11 runs behind Division Two’s leading run-scorer, Middlesex’ Max Holden, having batted one innings less. He will be hoping to claim top spot at The County Ground this weekend.
Anuj Dal is rested with a back issue, while Harry Moore and Aneurin Donald remain sidelined and working with the Club’s Medical Team.

Middlesex have picked up one win, one draw and one defeat from their opening three games, which has put them in fourth place, 19 points off top spot.
Former Derbyshire captain, Leus du Plooy, guided his side to victory last time out with some big hitting on Day Four, while Max Holden is the leading run-scorer in the division with 398, which includes a high-score of 184.
With the ball, Toby Roland-Jones remains one of the leading bowlers in the county game, having already claimed ten wickets, while spinner Zafar Gohar has 13 to his name.

Martin Andersson is looking to build on Derbyshire’s unbeaten start to the season when they face Middlesex at The County Ground this weekend.
After defeating Gloucestershire in the season opener, Andersson scored his maiden first-class century against Leicestershire, while Wayne Madsen and Caleb Jewell are among the leading run-scorers in the division and Luis Reece tops the wickets charts.
However, Andersson says Derbyshire were unhappy with their performance in the draw with Northamptonshire, and want to get back to their best against Middlesex.
“We’re third, it has been a reasonable start to the season so far,” he said.
“We’re happy with our win first win; a reasonable game against Leicestershire, but we’re disappointed as a group how we played against Northants.
“But it’s obviously good to come out with a draw and we’d rather be on this side of the table than the other.”
On facing his former club, Middlesex: “I think everyone who plays their old club wants to do as well as possible. It’s going to be a good challenge, but I’m looking forward to playing against people I’ve known a long time and hoping for the best.”
