England face the T20 World Champions in Derby!

England Women host New Zealand in an IT20 at The Central Co-op County-Ground on Wednesday 20 May (6.30pm).

The Women’s T20 World Cup holders, led by Amelia Kerr, face an England side aiming to make more history in Derby.

Derbyshire have named a 14-player squad for the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Kent at The County Ground, starting tomorrow (11am).

Luis Reece returns to the squad after missing last match and will be looking to add to his current tally of 19 wickets this summer, while Pat Brown also comes into contention this week.

Blair Tickner misses out due to a hamstring issue and Ben Aitchison misses this game due to side stiffness.

The Opposition

Having lost last time out, Kent will be wanting to bounce back on their trip up to Derby and move up from sixth in the table.

Despite Grant Stewart’s heroics, scoring a remarkable 182 off 189 balls, Kent were defeated lost by three wickets to Gloucestershire.

Opener Ben Compton leads their run-scoring charts, with 483 runs and two centuries to his name, while Nathan Gilchrist has claimed 22 wickets at an average of 24.36 this season.

Ben Aitchison spoke to Club Media after his return to first team action in nearly two years.

The right-arm seamer spoke about his delight in returning to action, his long road to recovery as well as his impressive performance at Old Trafford.
