England face the T20 World Champions in Derby!

England Women host New Zealand in an IT20 at The Central Co-op County-Ground on Wednesday 20 May (6.30pm).

The Women’s T20 World Cup holders, led by Amelia Kerr, face an England side aiming to make more history in Derby.

Falcons players visit local clubs

Derbyshire Falcons players visited the junior training sessions at six local clubs across the county.

The visits were organised in partnership the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, through their strong links with local clubs. Wayne Madsen and Brooke Guest visited Hilton CC, Nye Donald and Pat Brown took part in sessions at Melbourne Town CC, while Ross Whiteley and Alex Thomson travelled to Old Glossop CC on Tuesday night.

Wednesday saw Samit Patel and Zak Chappell at Chesterfield CC, Caleb Jewell and Blair Tickner at Swarkestone CC, Ben Aitchison and Martin Andersson at Clifton CC.

The players delighted youngsters by signing autographs, taking pictures and answering questions, as well as taking part in the training sessions, helping with coaching and giving tips.

Some of the Vitality Blast’s biggest hitters and a host of international stars will be in action at The Central Co-op County Ground on Friday night, as the Falcons take on Lancashire Lightning, with the sun set to be shining!
