England to return to Derby in 2026

England Women will return to The Central Co-op County Ground in 2026 to play the first Vitality IT20 of the World Cup summer against New Zealand, as well as a Metro Bank One-Day International against Ireland later in the year.

Nat Sciver-Brunt’s side will kick off a huge summer of T20 cricket at Derby on Wednesday 20 May, as preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup begin ahead of the showpiece event throughout June and July 2026.

Then, on Thursday 3 September, The Central Co-op County Ground will play host to the second Metro Bank One-Day International between England Women and Ireland Women, with Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway alumni, Sarah Glenn, Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Bess Heath all in contention to represent their country at Derby next summer.

It will be the first time England and New Zealand have faced off at The Central Co-op County Ground since 2021, when Heather Knight scored a match-winning century in an ODI victory.
