Chasing 169 and needing four from the final ball of second fixture to secure the series victory, Jane Maguire arrived at the crease. The seamer smashed it down the ground for six, cuing wild celebrations at Dublin.
Orla Prendergast top-scored with 51 off 34 balls, while also claiming 1-22 with the ball. That followed a first IT20 performance where she took 3-28 as Ireland defended 142.
Ireland will face England Women at The Central Co-op County Ground in a Metro Bank One-Day International next September, as part of a huge summer of women’s cricket in 2026.
