England face the T20 World Champions in Derby!

England Women host New Zealand in an IT20 at The Central Co-op County-Ground on Wednesday 20 May (6.30pm).

The Women’s T20 World Cup holders, led by Amelia Kerr, face an England side aiming to make more history in Derby.

2025 Player of the Year winners

Caleb Jewell claimed the Derbyshire Men’s Player of the Year Award, with Adrianna Darlow taking home the Falcons Women’s Players’ Player of the Year trophy at the Club’s annual Gala Dinner, sponsored by Conference Works.  

Jewell, who scored more than 1,800 runs across all formats this season, also claimed the Metro Bank One-Day Cup Player of the Year and Members Player of the Year Awards and sent in a special thank you message from Australia.

Darlow, who won two awards on the night (Coaches’ and Players’ player of the Year Awards), led the Falcons Women throughout their historic first season in Tier Two, with Head of Women’s Cricket, Jon Dyson, praising her leadership and strong character.

Aneurin Donald was a double-winner, as he picked up the Vitality Blast Player of the Year and the Eddie Barlow Inspirational Performance Award, for his record-equalling half-century against Yorkshire at Chesterfield.

Luis Reece (Rothesay County Championship), Wayne Madsen (Spirit of Cricket), Rhiannon Knowling-Davies (Women’s Bowler of the Year) and Lara Shaw (Women’s Batter of the Year) also took home silverware.
