Derbyshire all-rounder, Joe Hawkins, has been called-up by England Under 19s for this month’s Youth ODIs against Ireland and Bangladesh.
Hawkins, 18, made his first-class debut for Derbyshire against Northamptonshire in July and went on to feature four times in the Falcons’ Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign, claiming best figures of 2-59 against Hampshire.
The Derbyshire Pathway graduate, who captained the Under 18s to the ECB County Plate title last month, recieved his maiden Young Lions Invitational call-up in June and impressed, before being called into the Test squad to face India Under 19s in July, although he did not feature.
England face Ireland Under 19s in a one-off Youth ODI at Loughborough on Tuesday, with the five-match series against Bangladesh starting on Friday 5 September.
