England stars set for Women’s Big Bash

Posted on 9 November 2025
WBBL – Brisbane Heat v Perth Scorchers

Some of England’s biggest stars will be in action down under, as the 11th edition of the Women’s Big Bash (WBBL) kicks off on Sunday.

WBBL|11 will see a host of England internationals, including Sophie Ecclestone (Adelaide Strikers), Nat Sciver-Brunt (Hobart Hurricanes) and Heather Knight (Sydney Thunder), playing alongside their Australian counterparts and other huge names from around the world. The competition begins with a repeat of last season’s final, as defending champions, Melbourne Renegades, take on Brisbane Heat.

England’s Alice Capsey has been drafted by the Renegades and will be looking to show off her big-hitting prowess from the off, alongside promising batter and star of The Hundred, Davina Perrin.

Ecclestone, the world’s number one ranked T20 bowler, is joined by fellow England international, Tammy Beaumont in Adelaide, with their first game coming on Monday morning against a Melbourne Stars side containing Amy Jones and Dani Gibson.

Sophia Dunkley will team up with New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr at Sydney Sixers, before their respective national sides do battle at Derby on Wednesday 20 May 2026, with Kerr’s compatriate, Sophie Devine, set to represent Perth Scorchers.
