Derbyshire Falcons Women all-rounder, Maria Andrews, has been named in the England Under 19s Winter Training Squad.
Andrews, who came through the Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway system but is on-loan at the Club from The Blaze Academy, will be based at the National Cricket Performance Centre for eight training camps throughout the winter, as the Under 19s gear up for a tri-series against Australia and Sri Lanka in early 2026.
The young spinner made history in 2025 when she became the first Falcons Women bowler to cake a Vitality Blast five-wicket haul, when she claimed 5-17 in a win over Northants Steelbacks in June.
The 2026 Falcons Women schedule is set to be announced in the next few weeks, with Vitality Blast fixtures coming on Tuesday 25 November, with Metro Bank One-Day Cup to follow on Thursday 27 November.
