Derbyshire-born spinner, Sarah Glenn, has been awarded a one-year central contract for 2026.
Glenn, 26, has played 92 all format games for England and claimed 112 wickets, having come through the Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway system. She has gone on to represent Worcestershire, Loughborough Lightning and The Blaze in domestic cricket, before recently signing for Yorkshire.
The spinner, who has established herself as one of the best T20 bowlers in the world, was part of the England team which reached the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup and is a former Women’s Hundred winner. She made a triumphant return to Women’s Big Bash action earlier this week, claiming 4-18 for Brisbane Heat against Sydney Thunder.
Fellow Derbyshire Women & Girls’ Pathway alumni, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, has entered the second year of her two-year central contract.
Glenn and Wyatt-Hodge will return to Derby, with England set to play two huge fixtures at The Central Co-op County Ground against New Zealand (Vitality IT20) and Ireland (Metro Bank ODI).
Following a record ballot window, which saw two times as many England fans book as last season, more tickets have been sold for international fixtures at The Central Co-op County Ground during the first month of general sale than ever before.
Demand for tickets remains high, with the Early Bird Window still open and a huge winter of women’s cricket around the globe to come and the ICC T20 World Cup also set to take place on English soil next summer.
