Derbyshire Men kick-off their pre-season fixture schedule with a three-day game against Leicestershire at The Uptonsteel County Ground, starting tomorrow (11am).
Having worked hard through the winter, culminating in an intense week of outdoor training at Desert Springs, Spain, Mickey Arthur’s men get their first taste of match action against the Foxes.
Supporters could get their first look new signings, Matt Montgomery and Shoaib Bashir, while last season’s leading wicket-taker, Luis Reece is set to feature. Harry Moore, Jack Morley, Ben Aitchison, Zak Chappell, Rory Haydon, Anuj Dal and Martin Andersson will also get useful overs in their legs.
Harry Came, Nye Donald and Brooke Guest complete the squad, with overseas signings, Mohammad Abbas and Caleb Jewell, set to arrive prior to the first Rothesay County Championship fixture against Worcestershire.
