Derbyshire Falcons Women have signed Yorkshire duo, Ria Fackrell and Rebecca Duckworth, on-loan until July.
Both players were key parts of the Yorkshire squad which lifted the Metro Bank One-Day Cup trophy in 2025, as well as reaching the final of the Vitality Blast.
Fackrell, 26, was the leading wicket-taker in the Vitality Blast League Two last season, claiming 16 wickets at an average of just 10.37 across nine games.
Top-order batter, Duckworth, scored 310 runs across all formats in 2025, including a half-century in the Vitality Women’s County Cup.
Fackrell has appeared in The Hundred with Birmingham Phoenix and both players will bring top-level experience into the Falcons Women dressing room.
The duo will be available for selection by Derbyshire when not involved with Yorkshire’s Tier One fixtures until the start of The Hundred in mid-July, with the Tier Two season kicking off with a home game against Middlesex on Sunday 12 April.
Head of Women’s Cricket, Jon Dyson, said: “These are two marquee signings for our squad and we could not be happier with our winter recruitment.
“Adding two top-level professionals, in addition to Liv Baker from The Blaze and a number of players from Tier One academies, will provide huge experience for our core to learn from and develop alongside, which will raise the level of our squad long-term.
“Both players are proven winners, they know how to compete and succeed at this level. Ria was the leading wicket-taker in the Vitality Blast last season, so to bring in that kind of quality is brilliant for us.
“I’d like to thank Yorkshire for their cooperation in this process and we look forward to seeing Ria and Rebecca in our colours this summer.”

The Falcons narrowly missed out on a place in the first-ever Women’s Vitality Blast knockout stages last season, and they’ll be hoping a strong winter recruitment drive can propel them to the next level.
