Pre-Match Pack: Middlesex Women (H)

Derbyshire Falcons Women have named a 12-player squad for their Metro Bank One-Day Cup fixture against Middlesex at The Central Co-op County Ground tomorrow (10.30am scheduled start).

Yorkshire duo, Ria Fackrell and Rebecca Duckworth, joined the Club on-loan this week and could be among up to nine debutants within the squad named by Head of Women’s Cricket, Jon Dyson.

Maria Andrews and Malisha Tennakoon miss the game due to being called up to the England Under 19s squad for their tour of Australia, while Lara Shaw and Ellie Nightingale are absent through injury.

The Opposition

After winning the Vitality Blast League Two last season, Middlesex Women will be aiming for success in all formats in 2026.

Saskia Horley was the Club’s leading run-scorer in 50-over cricket last season (343), with Artemis Downer (327) not far behind. Finty Trussler scored more than 600 runs across all formats and will be a key member of the side once again this summer.

Sarah Pearson was the star performer with the ball in 50-over cricket for Middlesex last season, with 12 dismissals, while Horley will be hoping to translate her T20 bowling prowess (12 wickets) into the longer format.
