Tickets are now on sale for Derby’s biggest and most spectacular Fireworks Night at The Central Co-op County Ground on Saturday 8 November 2025.

A highlight of the city’s events calendar, Fireworks Night will once again light up the skies above Derby with a dazzling display, alongside family-friendly entertainment, food and drink stalls and a fantastic atmosphere for all ages.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time do the gates open?

Gates open from 4pm, with plenty to see and do around The County Ground prior to the start of the fireworks display, including the popular Fun Fair. The ground will close at 9.30pm.

What time do the fireworks start?

The fireworks display is scheduled to start at approximately 7pm.

Can I pay on the gate?

The best and cheapest way to secure a ticket to Derbyshire's popular Fireworks Night & Fun Fair is to buy online.

However, a limited number of tickets will be available on the gate, to purchase on the night of the event.

Will I need to bring cash?

The County Ground is a cashless venue meaning that all ticket entry gates will be card/contactless payment only.

All Fun Fair rides and food units, which are operated by an outside company, are cash only and there are no cash machines on site at The County Ground. The nearest cash machine is located at the Texaco Garage off Pentagon Island.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club advises all visitors to bring cash and cashless methods of payment on the night.

Is there seating available and can I bring my own camping chair?

A limited amount of unreserved seating will be available in the main Seat Unique Falcons Stand directly opposite the fireworks location, to the back of the venue. Visitors are advised to arrive early should they wish to secure a seat. Camping chairs, picnic blankets etc are not permitted for this event.

What time does the Fun Fair open and close?

The Fun Fair will be open from 4pm and will close at 9.30pm.

What happens if it rains?

The display can go ahead in rain, however strict regulations are in place for extreme weather and high winds. In instances of extreme weather, checks will be made on the night before a decision can be made.

Are sparklers allowed?

Fireworks and sparklers are not permitted to be brought into the venue.

Are dogs allowed in to the ground?

Dogs will not be allowed into the ground for this event.

What time does the ground close?

The County Ground will close at 9.30pm.

Kids go free under what age?

Children under the age of 5 will be granted admission to the event free-of charge and do not require a ticket. Junior tickets apply to ages 6-15.

Where can I park?

A limited number of Car Park spaces are available to pre-book online.

We advise visitors to plan their journey in advance to allow time getting into the venue.

Please respect our neighbours and do not block driveways on nearby streets, or attempt to park in resident-only areas.

All car parks will be stewarded.
