Ground Regulations

To ensure that everyone has a great day at The Central Co-op County Ground, we ask all visitors to follow the Conditions of Entry:

1. All matches are played in accordance with the rules and regulations of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
2. All persons must comply with instructions and directions given by Club Officials, Stewards and Police officers.
3. All persons entering the ground shall have either paid for admission and have received the appropriate ticket, or in possession of a valid Membership Card or other pass issued either by Derbyshire County Cricket Club or the ECB. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
4. Play cannot be guaranteed on any day.
5. In the event of little or no play on any day due to weather, terms and conditions within the Club’s Rain Check Policy will apply.
6. Spectators do not have the right to choose where they park and windscreens must be covered at all times when sun reflection could interfere with play.
7. Admission and the right to remain within the ground is strictly on the condition that spectators shall not commit any of the following acts:
   • Failing to comply with directions given by a Steward, Police officer or Derbyshire County Cricket Club Officials.
   • Encroach onto the playing area during play.
   • Throwing or discharging missiles of any description.
   • Causing damage to Club property including graffiti, or the defacing of Club notices.
   • Obstructing access ways and emergency exits.
   • Using indecent or offensive language. Racial abuse will not be tolerated and will result in immediate ejection from the ground and possible further action.
   • Bringing pets into the grounds that are not under complete control of the owner. Pets are not allowed entry into Twenty20 fixtures.
   • Bringing barbecues, gas cylinders, missiles or weapons into the ground.
   • Selling items on the ground without prior permission of Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
   • Smoking is not allowed in the stands or Club buildings; smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
   • Dogs, which are allowed entry on County Championship and One-Day Cup games only, must be kept on a lead at all times.

The Police, Stewards, and Club Officials have the right to search individuals and their cars, and may result in ejection.

8. Spectators may not bring alcohol into the ground for T20 fixtures. Alcohol is permitted for County Championship and One-Day Cup fixtures, but is limited to 4 cans of beer/cider or 1 bottle of wine. For international fixtures, please refer to the Matchday Guide. This policy is subject to change and spectators are encouraged to read the specific Matchday Guide for each fixture for the latest relevant information.
9. Derbyshire County Cricket Club reserve the right to close bars at any time and restrict the consumption of alcohol. This is at management’s discretion.
10. No alcohol shall be brought back into the ground by persons on re-admittance.
11. Flags and banners allowed provided that – in the opinion of the management – are not vulgar, political, racial, discriminatory, sexual in nature or display advertising which may in any way impinge or will be in conflict with the rights of partners/sponsors/ suppliers/vendors or the event (in any language) or deemed to be offensive, or impact on the view of other spectators.
12. The reserving of seats for friends not on the ground is not within the spirit of fair play to fellow spectators. All visitors are therefore asked to show consideration for others in not blocking more than one seat for this purpose and Derbyshire County Cricket Club reserves the right to remove items ‘reserving’ such seats.
13. We always encourage supporters, young and old, to take up the opportunity to walk on the outfield pitch, and have the chance to take part in small games of cricket, within a safe manner, when appropriate and safe to do so.  There is often heavy machinery in operation or players are warming up so we ask that supporters respect the following rules;
    County Championship – Supporters are allowed on the outfield during the lunch and tea intervals for all County Championship games.
    One Day Cup – Supporters are allowed on the field during the innings break only, in the area of the pitch next to The Monarch Security Stand and Scoreboard.
    T20 – Spectators are strictly not allowed on the outfield.
14. Derbyshire County Cricket Club reserves the right to refuse admission to any person.
15. Derbyshire County Cricket Club accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to property or injury to persons whilst on Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s premises. All vehicles are parked at owner’s risk.
16. Derbyshire CCC does not discriminate against any individual on account of that individual’s sex, race, religion, age, disability, or national or ethnic origin; nor does Derbyshire discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity or expression and will take whatever action is necessary to uphold these principles against anyone that acts to undermine them. Please note that all of the above conditions are subject to change at any time at the discretion of Derbyshire County Cricket Club and where Health & Safety legislation deems it to be necessary.
17. In relation to the cricket match taking place at the ground spectators are not permitted to use a mobile telephone, tablet, laptop, computer or other kind of communication device to either (i) communicate or in any way transmit any form of commentary, data or other material, for any kind of betting or corrupt or unlawful purpose; or (ii) conduct continuous betting trading activity.

Derbyshire CCC Photography Regulations

1. Ticket-holders visiting our home venues consent to being photographed by ECB accredited photographers. Photographs taken on Matchdays may be used by the Club in relevant promotional material. If you do not wish to be photographed, please alert the Club via Reception at The Central Co-op County Ground.
2. Derbyshire County Cricket Club welcomes supporters to take photographs for personal use at fixtures at Derby and Queen’s Park, Chesterfield.
3. Any photographer wishing to use equipment deemed by Derbyshire County Cricket Club staff as professional equipment* can only be used if you have been granted suitable accreditation from the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and meet their guidelines.
4. Only photographers with suitable accreditation from the ECB can gain entry to photography positions and enter the field of play.
5. This policy is for all Derbyshire County Cricket Club cricket fixtures taking place at Derby and Queen’s Park. It does not apply for non-cricket events when the policy will be deemed by the Club or event host (ie. promoter) and details about photography regulations for non-cricket events can be obtained by contacting the Club.

*The Club has the right to decide whether any equipment used by photographers at fixtures at Derby or Chesterfield is professional kit. Any persons using lens above 300mm will be deemed as professional and anyone wishing to use this equipment without ECB accreditation will need to contact the Club in advance of the fixture.

Reusable Cup Policy

1. Reusable cups are mandatory across all bars at The Central Co-op County Ground.
2. All customers who purchase a reusable cup are entitled to a full refund if the cup is returned within 30 minutes of the close of play, or on another matchday. Cups cannot be returned on non-matchdays.
3. Cups must not be visibly damaged in order to receive the refund. The club reserves the right to refuse to refund deposits when cups are damaged.
4. No more than 10 cups can be returned by any one person at any one time.
5. Cups can only be returned by someone aged 18 years and over. Please provide a valid photo ID as proof of age.
6. Cups can only be returned to the designated return stations. These are clearly signposted and include outdoor mobile bar units, The Boundary Bar, the Ticket Collection Point and the Breeze House to the left of the Elite Performance Centre.
7. Unwanted cups can be donated to the Derbyshire County Cricket Club Age Group squads by depositing them in the return bins by the main exit at The Pavilion and the Breeze House.
