Fynn Hudson-Prentice struck an unbeaten 91, while captain Billy Godleman earlier made 86 to set a platform for his side to chase a record 365 runs to win – Derbyshire’s highest successful fourth-innings run-chase against a first-class county.
Contributions from Wayne Madsen (43), Matt Critchley (35) and Mattie McKiernan (20) kept Derbyshire in touch throughout an enthralling final day, before debutant Michael Cohen (30 not out) combined with Hudson-Prentice for a match-winning 66-run partnership.
