Pathway Boys age group trials – information

Derbyshire County Cricket Club are now inviting nominations for County age group trials which will be taking place in September.

The process for nominations has been sent to clubs and cricket playing schools in Derbyshire and players require nominations from their respective coaches/heads of cricket.

Please get in touch with them directly if you wish to enquire if they will be nominating you for a trial this year. Nominations close on 31 August.

The Cricket Derbyshire Academy, in partnership with the University of Derby, has been represented strongly at all levels this season, with six graduates appearing in the first team across the LV= County Championship, Royal London Cup and the Vitality Blast, while a number of other promising youngsters have had the opportunity to impress through Second XI fixtures.

We have also seen developing talents called up to a number of external competitions, from Young Lions ‘Best vs Best’ matches, ECB Super Fours and the legendary Bunbury Festival, further indications that the future is looking bright for Derbyshire’s home grown talent.
