The Women’s T20 World Cup holders, led by Amelia Kerr, face an England side aiming to make more history in Derby.

Interview: Arthur delighted to extend Derbyshire stay

Head of Cricket, Mickey Arthur, spoke to Club Media after extending his Derbyshire contract to the end of the 2025 season.

Arthur, who enjoyed a long and successful career in international cricket with South Africa, Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka before joining Derbyshire last year, led the team to a Club-record nine wins in the Vitality Blast group stage, while also mounting a promotion challenge in the LV= County Championship.

In this interview, Arthur reveals his reasons for extending his time with Derbyshire, the squad’s ambitions for 2023 and beyond, as well as his thoughts ahead of the upcoming Lanka Premier League, where he will be coaching Dambulla.
