Interview: Conners ‘so proud’ to represent Derbyshire with England Lions

Derbyshire fast bowler, Sam Conners, says the opportunity to represent Derbyshire during the England Lions’ UAE training camp was a proud experience for him. 

Conners, who is a product of the Cricket Derbyshire Academy, in partnership with the University of Derby, was the youngest player to take 50 LV= County Championship wickets in 2022 and claimed the wicket of Ollie Pope during the three-day fixture against the England Men’s Test team during the UAE camp.

In the interview, Conners discusses his pride at being a Derbyshire player in the national team setup, his learnings from working with the likes of Jimmy Anderson and more.
