Derbyshire Batting Coach, Ben Smith, speaks to Club Media for the first time, after arriving at The Incora County Ground.
Smith has joined the Club after recent spells with Northamptonshire and Central Stags in New Zealand’s Super Smash T20 competition.
A prolific batter during his playing days, Smith will work alongside Ajmal Shahzad, Chris Highton, James Bell and Alex Hughes, as part of Mickey Arthur’s coaching team.
In the interview, Smith discusses his first impressions of the Derbyshire squad, ambitions for 2024 and the plans to prepare the players for the new season.
