David Lloyd, Derbyshire’s new captain, received his county cap this morning.
County Caps have been awarded in Derbyshire for much of the county’s history although formal records only exist post-1946.
David Lloyd, who played four one day matches for the county in 2023 becomes the 121st player to be awarded a Derbyshire cap since 1946 and the first to receive it before playing a first class match for Derbyshire since Michael Holding in 1983.
