England face the T20 World Champions in Derby!

England Women host New Zealand in an IT20 at The Central Co-op County-Ground on Wednesday 20 May (6.30pm).

The Women’s T20 World Cup holders, led by Amelia Kerr, face an England side aiming to make more history in Derby.

Pre-Match Pack: Northamptonshire (H)

Derbyshire have named a 13-player squad for their Vitality County Championship fixture against Northamptonshire, starting at The County Ground tomorrow (11am). 

Ross Whiteley is included in the squad for the first time this season as well as Anuj Dal on the back of an unbeaten century for the Second XI at Belper Meadows this week. The squad will be hoping to pick up Derbyshire’s first red ball win of the season.

Overseas fast bowlers Daryn Dupavillon and Blair Tickner will look to lead the attack, after the former impressed on debut against Sussex last time out.

The Opposition

Northamptonshire are seventh in Division Two, having picked up four draws in their opening five games of the season. 

Top-order batters, Emilo Gay (463) and Luke Proctor (427) have been key for Northamptonshire this season, with the batting line-up also anchored by Indian international, Karun Nair, who has one century and two half-centuries to his name so far.

The ever-reliable Ben Sanderson, who recently took his 500th wicket for the Club, has claimed 13 dismissals so far, while India’s Siddarth Kaul enjoyed a strong debut showing with six wickets against Gloucestershire.
