Derbyshire batter, Aneurin Donald, has been selected by Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred wildcard draft.
Donald has been in fine form for the Falcons this season, scoring three half-centuries, with his first breaking the record for Derbyshire’s fastest-ever T20 fifty at just 19 balls, a feat he replicated just five days later.
The batter will play for the Edgbaston-based side throughout late July and into August, and is the second Derbyshire player to be selected for the competition, with Wayne Madsen set to play for Manchester Originals.
