England’s top stars have been selected for the 2026 Women’s Hundred, ahead of a stacked summer of international cricket at Derby.
Captain, Nat Sciver-Brunt, was among those already directly signed or retained by franchises prior to the auction, with the likes of Lauren Bell, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Sophie Ecclestone and New Zealand skipper, Melie Kerr also selected in advance.
Wyatt-Hodge’s fellow Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway alumni, Sarah Glenn (Sothern Brave) and Bess Heath (Trent Rockets) made moves, while England Danielle Gibson, Issy Wong earned big deals. Promising batter, Davina Perrin, made history by become the first player chosen in the auction.
New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, who could feature against England at The Central Co-op County Ground this May, followed up her MVP-winning WPL campaign with a record-breaking £210,000 move to Welsh Fire.

England return to Derby for two huge games, as they face T20 world champions, New Zealand, on Wednesday 20 May, before hosting Ireland in an ODI on Thursday 3 September.
England’s stars have been winning accolades and silverware all over the globe this winter, with several recent Big Bash and IPL winners set to line up at Derby this summer. Captain, Nat Sciver-Brunt, also created history by becoming the first player to score a WPL century.
