Head of Women’s Cricket, Jon Dyson, was pleased with the manner of Derbyshire Falcons Women’s victory over Cheshire in the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup.
Rhiannon Knowling-Davies was the pick of the bowlers in an excellent display, claiming 3-12 as Cheshire were bowled out for 76 at Denby, before Tash Allen and Frances Lonsdale’s 53-run partnership ensured a safe passage to the second round.
Dyson praised the professionalism of his side and was pleased for the squad to earn a victory early in the season, after two frustrating losses in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.
