Local cricket heroes rewarded with Barmy Army Memberships

Derbyshire County Cricket Club and the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation have awarded 25 members of the Derbyshire cricket family Barmy Army Memberships, for their dedication to the game at various levels.

10 adult memberships have been given to individuals who are going above and beyond to grow the women & girls game in Derbyshire, while 15 members of the Young Cricket Collective have also been awarded Barmy Army Memberships.

This is the latest step in the partnership between Derbyshire and the Barmy Army, the first of its kind in county cricket, with various other giveaways held for Derbyshire Members and supporters through the winter.

A Barmy Army Membership includes priority access to England home international tickets. Additionally, it provides supporters with money-can’t-buy opportunities, such as representing Barmy Army Cricket Club at some amazing cricketing venues around the world. Plus, members get access to a host of rewards and discounts with more than 100 top brands, such as Nike, Halfords and Alton Towers. It’s an opportunity to be part of a truly unique community of like-minded, loyal England cricket fans and to make memories all around the world.

The winners, selected by the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, are:

Adults: Emily Douglas-Gilbert, Leanne Bunting, Amanda Cope, Ed Buchan, Catherine Poiney, Laura Slater, Stuart Blake, Emma Smith, Achin Chand, Nitan Chand.

Juniors: Adyan Shaik, Archie Stenson, Coral Butler, Eleanor Banks, Freya Bellworthy, Grace Kettlewell, Heidi Latham, Jack Bloor, Jeet Naik, Lizzie Skingle, Oliver Paxton, Oscar Lowe, Philippa Rafferty, Seth Lowe, Sophie Smithurst.

Congratulations to all winner, these Memberships recognise their passion for the sport and commitment to ensuring our sport welcomes everyone. Winners have been notified via email and will receive their Barmy Army Memberships soon.
