Derbyshire Falcons Women have named a 12-player squad for their Vitality Blast T20 County Cup fixture against Cheshire at Denby C.C. starting tomorrow (2:30pm scheduled start).

Jon Dyson has made several changes from last week’s visit to Kent, with Jessica Couser, Natasha Allen, Aamna Khan and Francesca Clarke all named in the matchday squad for the first time this season.

Frances Lonsdale retains her place in the squad after scoring an unbeaten 103 from 124 balls last time out for The Falcons.

Maria Andrews, Olivia Baker, Rebecca Duckworth, Ria Fackrell and Lara Shaw are all cup tied for this fixture and hence unable to play.

The Opposition:

Cheshire came out on top of their opening tie of the Vitality T20 County Cup against Lincolnshire in last year’s tournament, winning by 10 runs, but were knocked out by Leicestershire in the second round.

Cheshire played twice last weekend (Sunday 19 April) in a double-header against Staffordshire, losing the first game by 6 runs, before winning the second by 38 runs.
